Insurance cover to examiners in MP
The Board of Secondary Education in Madhya Pradesh has decided to provide insurance cover worth Rs.100,000 to each official involved in conducting secondary and senior secondary examinations in the state, slated to start next month.
Bhopal: "The group insurance policy would be effective from Feb 15 to April 15. If anything happens to the insured person during this period, he (or she) will be entitled for a compensation of Rs.100,000 for accidental death or permanent disability and Rs.50,000 for partial disability," Board secretary D.D. Agarwal said.
Nearly 50,000 people would be involved in conducting the examinations, which will see 400,000 students appearing for the higher secondary and 680,000 students giving secondary school exams.
