Kerala to recast engineering, medical entrance tests

The Kerala government has decided to recast the common entrance tests for the engineering and medical courses, education minister M A Baby said here Thursday.
Kozhikode (Kerala): "A committee is looking into the issue and we will get the report soon," Baby told reporters after holding talks with various teachers and students organizations on the proposed curriculum framework, which is expected to totally revamp school education in the state.

"The framework will be finalised at a meeting on Feb 25," he said.

The curriculum is being revamped on the basis of National curriculum framework (NCF), which was revised in 2005.

Every year thousands of students appear for the entrance tests in Kerala. Apart from all district headquarters in the state, the examination is held in New Delhi and Dubai.
