Blossoms' Fest: Celebrating childhood

"Let children be children and celebrate what it means to be a child"

Center for Social Initiative and Management (CSIM), Bangalore will organise Blossoms' Fest, a fund raising event with an objective of spreading awareness on child related issues at Seva Sadan, Kormangala, on January 26, 2008 .
 
Various events will be held as part of the occasion and all are invited to be a part of the crusade. 
 
Poster making competition: Theme: “Every Child Matters…”. This is for school children in grades 8-10.
 
Awareness sessions will be conducted across 70 schools and residential apartments in Bangalore city.
 
Photography Contest: Theme “Expressions of Childhood”, aiming at niche category of photography amateurs, professionals and hobbyists.
 
 
Posters and photographs will be on display at the Exhibition and Fair on the same day. Puppet show, games stalls, mehendi & face painting events will be also held.
 
Panel discussion: The objective is to find loopholes in the present corporate and social sector bonding and to align mutual outlooks and come up with a common action plan.
 
Five NGOs, Helpline Charitable Trust, Makkala Jagriti, Sambhav Foundation, Observation, Home for Juvenile Boys, Crisis Intervention Center for Girls, who are working in the area of child issues, will be in charge of the events held.
 
 
About CSIM
 
CSIM is a project of MSDS Trust and has branches in Chennai, Hyderabad and Mumbai. The organization, established in 1999, pioneered the teaching of concepts of social entrepreneurship in India.
 
As a ‘management school’ for NGOs, it helped scores of individuals to evolve and clarify their thinking on social issues and to transform their vision into creative action.
 
Activities include customized courses on Social Entrepreneurship, consultation services on NGO management and volunteer management services. The organisation's extensive network enables one to find synergies between the social and corporate sectors, resulting in unique, innovative models of social action.
